When I started this blog I was so excited to share my incites on couponing and saving money. As you have all noticed I haven't posted in forever and I am sincerely sorry about that. I have been pretty occupied time wise with my 2 little girls and I have found that spending more than moments on the computer just does not fit into my schedule right now. ( Especially when for some reason the wireless capabilities aren't functioning right now on my lap top) Which keeps me confined to the upstairs computer room.

**Sometimes price matching at Target can be so time consuming and frustrating. But, I have found if you just check out and the customer service desk. They WILL look at your ad and confirm the dates of the sale and make sure it is the identitical item. They can ring it up for those prices and then you can hand them your target and manufacturers coupons. Try it and see how it goes.. They can only turn you down so it is worth a try if it possible will save you serious cash$$

In the paper this last Sunday there were a set of Albertson's coupon Douber's!! I Love these!
I have found a couple great ways to use those presicious pieces of paper. Here is some ideas:

Next time you grab a cart at the store look for a Clorox coupon located above the dispenser of "cart wipes?" I have only noticed them at Smith's because they use Clorox brand wipes. I know for sure Target and Walmart don't use Clorox wipes. This Coupon is Awesome! $1.50 off ANY clorox Product! and expires 3/31/2010!
With these coupons you are bound to get some cleaning products FREE. Who couldn't use more disinfecting wipes with all the IKY..YUCKY...junk going around???!!

Yummy Healthy Frugal Meal, Need I say MORE..?

Tonight, I had no Clue what I was going to make. It was 6:00 and decided to see what I could throw together. So I pulled out a bag of mini carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, cheese, a can of black beans, and some corn tortillas.
I cut up the zucchini and fried it in a pan with a little butter, and then I threw some carrots in some water and microwaved them for about 3 minutes. When the zucchini was finished I just heated up the tortillas and put a little cheese on them till it melted. I warmed up my beans in the microwave after the carrots cooked. Then loaded up my tortillas and then put some fresh tomato on top. AND .....Fabulous!! They were absolutely Delicious and So healthy and So Frugal! I was thinking you could really add whatever you have in your Veggie Drawer... Grilled Chicken would also go really well with this too.

...And Since you ate such a healthy meal you could top it off with one of these.. Yoplait Delights 100 Calories! These are my new favorite treats! There have been lots of coupons in the paper for these as well as printables.You can also load $1/1 Coupon to your Smith's Rewards Card and get additional savings and Snag these treats for possibly FREE or really cheap!

Go to hotcouponworld.com and click on Target Coupons on the right hand side, and then scroll down on the page that comes up there will be a list of Target coupons to choose from you can print as many of these as you wan. Type in the number of coupons you want and print.

++Plus you can pair these coupons with Manufacturer coupons if you have some.

Last night I bought the 3.75 oz chex mixes located at the registers and used the $1/1 Target coupon and came out with a bill of $0.00!

I think I will be setting these out for trick or treaters, along with the candy I bought with my nestle coupons.

Then once they have printed hit the back button and Resend and you can print them both again. I believe Walmart has their bagged candy for $1.50. So you can get each bag for .50!!!

Walmart Price Matches!

I Love Walmart because they offer price matching! Which means you can bring in any other competitors ads and Walmart will honor the price.
There are some stipulations such as $10 for 10 deals or when the store is offering money off when you buy particular items. But, for the most part Walmart is a great way to do ONE STOP shopping. Saving you TIME and MONEY.
Basically what you would do is get a list together of all the things you want to price match from all the different stores ads. Have the item's written down, price and where. Also, be careful when you are grabbing the item off the shelf that you take a look at the price because Walmart may offer a better price. Remember you can always use coupons on top the the advertised price!
So, when you go to check out place your price match items on the register very last and let the cashier know ahead of time that you will be price matching those items. When the cashier gets to those items I usually will just tell him the price and which store I got the price from. I have never been asked to show the ad to them. It isn't a bad idea though to have the ad handy. Which helps make things go MUCH faster in line. It works like a Charm!

Here are some price matches I might do this week:
        Dick's Marketplace:
       - Bolthouse 1 lb baby carrots $.89

   SuperSaver (Never been there but I get their ad):
      -3 for $5 Grandma Sycomore's Bread (White or Wheat) Just because it is 3 for $5 doesn't mean you have to buy 3. You can get them for 1.67 each.
      - Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna 2 for $1 (my plan is to buy 4 and hopefully get all 4 free)
             Use the $1 off 1 coupon and possible get .50 in overage towards your groceries or the cashier may lower the coupon value to only .50. Either way free tuna.
      - Fresh Express Iceberg Garden Salad 12 oz. $.98

    Family Dollar:
      - Luvs Jumbo Pack Diapers $7.00
           Use the $1/1 coupon from P&G (coupon insert) 09/27/09 (date they came in the newspaper)
             = 6.00 for Jumbo pack is not too bad

* The last time I was at Walmart a lady in Guest Services told me that if another store brand item was on sale, they would price match it to the same Walmart brand item. i.e. If Smith's brand cottage cheese is $1.00 then you can get the Walmart brand cottage cheese, which in most cases is "Great Value" for $1.00.

...Well if you have a Smith's card, it is time to upgrade it to the NEW Smith's Rewards Card. You can do this at any Smith's. Also, you can sign up here to receive Bonus Points via email that can be loaded to your card! So basically you can receive more points without spending money!

While I am talking about Smith's, I want to mention that Smith's offers coupons that you can just load to your Smith's Card! There are 3 different sites (P&G, CellFire, and Shortcuts.com) that you can use to load coupons to your card. There are also printable coupons available there as well. On top of being able to upload these coupons to your card you will also be able to use "paper" (clipped or printed) coupons as well, even if it is for the same product. Check it out here. So Awesome! I am usually able to get $3.00-$4.00 off diapers at Smith's using this method!
